"The only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be. –Ralph Waldo Emerson
Everyone deserves the opportunity to be heard and to create a life that is full of purpose and meaning. It is rare in our culture to have the opportunity to question things. "Why" are you doing what you are doing? "Where" are you headed?" "What" do you really want? "How" are going to get there? Often our beliefs get in the way. We think we can't do something or that we should do something that we really don't want to do at all. Maybe we know deep down exactly what would fulfill us (example: becoming a professional musician or a social worker), but we have no idea how to get there--or need a boost of courage to take the leap or make a later in life transition.
Through purpose-driven conversations, even for those of us who feel lost (which is one of the best places to start), creative advising is about making positive changes to set you up for success. Whether you are a student, parent, professional-anyone at all--the door is open.
The answer to the question "why" in relation to what you are doing in your life is based on your personal beliefs. Depending on those beliefs, your motivation for the mission at hand will differ. I was lucky enough to be asked many life-shaping questions by my mentors. If it wasn't for those who made an effort to connect and advise me along my way, I would have never established myself as a professional musician, as a strong partner, as a loving son, as a great friend to others, or most importantly--a friend to myself. One of my biggest hurdles was being diagnosed with the learning "disability" ADD/ADHD as a child. While I am excited to work with all clients, It is one of my passions to work with young people who think differently and to inspire them to realize that they can succeed within any system.
All of us, no matter what our challenges are, will find a time we would benefit greatly from an additional team member. Don't feel like you have to carry the world on your shoulders alone. Contact: to set up a free time to talk to see if you are interested in becoming a client.
